American Citizen Emergencies
When traveling or living abroad, American citizens can be confronted at any time with an emergency situation. The difficulties in dealing with these situations are often compounded by being in a country where laws and customs differ from those in the U.S. and where the individual has no friends or family to support them. The U.S. Consulate is available to provide assistance to American citizens who encounter emergencies.
